Best vet ever. We love Dr. Wisen and his staff and so do our pups. We have been coming to Mauer for 30 years. Compassionate, skilled, and very friendly.

We are fairly new at this clinic, but Dr. Randall seems to be knowledgeable and caring. Fees are average, and the veterinarian does not rush through. Veterinarian technician on this last visit was friendly and caring. Our dog loved her! Wait time was a bit long on a previous visit, but this time was fairly short. It is near our home, so that’s a big plus also. We like this clinic and staff so far.
Front office staff and vet techs were very friendly. I accidentally came in on the wrong day for my appointment and they still squeezed me and my pup in to be seen. The doctors were also friendly, knowledgeable and broke down/explained my expenses prior to paying for the visit. In my opinion, they are also less expensive than most vet clinics I’ve been to/researcher in my area which is a plus.
I recently had to put my 17 year old dog to sleep. They got my test results back the next morning, so my pup did not have to suffer. They were kind, and explained the results thoroughly, and the whole process. They gave me plenty of time to mourn my pup, and were very gentle with me and him.
I now have a new puppy and will be starting the vet relationship with Mauer Animal Clinic.
Just a note: I started with this vet after receiving a recommendation from another long time patient parent.
I came to this Clinic for a second opinion as my Cavalier Ki g Charles Spaniel, Mr.Smith cracked his molar & it required an extraction. The Staff was so kind & got us an appointment within 48 hours of my inquiry. Dr. Robinson was kind, thorough, experienced, and took a great deal of time with us. We immediately know that not only was she the right DR to help Mr Smith with this dental procedure; she was going to be our new Vet for all three of our Cavaliers.

I had a great experience at Mauer Animal Hospital. I brought in my 10 year old cat for a wellness check-up and a sanitary cut, everyone was very kind and welcoming. The price was very reasonable and they even sent me this sweet thank you card! I will definitely be bringing my other pets to Mauer in the future.

Took in our cat, Mr. Simon, the other week to remove what looked like the aftermath of a bite that became infected. They were great with him (first time in that “scary” place), and took care of the problem quickly and affordably. After searching myself for good reviews, etc. – and having no real luck, specially after calling all of the other places—Mauer was recommended by a long-time resident who has been taking their pets to them for many years.
I was happy to have the staff of the clinic treat my two dogs. They made sure they were up to date on their shots, in good health, and spent a lot of time with me to make sure I understood the condition of my pet. They patiently answered my many questions.
The pricing is reasonable and considering the attentiveness and thoroughness of the staff, I felt it provided good value. Thank you much to the staff of Mauer for helping keep up the health of my doggos!
The veterinary care at Mauer Animal clinic is superb! I have been taking my dogs and cats there for years, through Dr. Doughty (previous owner who has retired) and Dr. Wesen who worked with him and now owns it and Associate Veterinarians, Dr. Morgan and Dr. Randall. Each vet and every member of their support staff is caring, compassionate and concerned with the health of my pets. I admit Dr. Wesen is my favorite vet as I have visited him for years and know him best. Though when my AKC Shih Tzu had a bladder stone, Dr. Morgan did the surgery and she did an excellent job! When my otter hound had to have emergency surgery at another vet during a holiday weekend, Dr. Wesen welcomed us back with love and concern for my girl! His amazing follow up care was gratefully appreciated! She had some issues that were the emergency vets fault, but Dr. Wesen saw us through them all!
The Vets call you after surgeries or procedures to confirm your pet is doing well and if you have any questions. I will only take my pets elsewhere if they are closed, and then only to whom they recommend on their answer machine! They do whatever is best for the animal based on the animal’s condition and your budget! My pets are my children and I trust the vets at Mauer Animal clinic to do what is best for them! The vets explain the diagnosis, what is going to happen and the procedures. They ensure you know what to do with the medications to continue to care for your cherished pets when you get them home and what to do if they have further issues. They schedule follow up appointments before you leave the office, if you prefer, or they will call you.
I’ve taken my pets to Mauer for over 20 years! Whether it is puppy shots, preventative health, breeding, boarding, dental issues, major surgeries or even, sadly, when crossing the dreaded Rainbow Bridge, the vets and staff at Mauer Animal Clinic are caring and compassionate! They will treat your animal with love as if it was their own! I highly recommend them for any pet who needs a caring vet. I will only take my pets to Mauer Animal Clinic! The vets and staff are the ABSOLUTE BEST! Need a great veterinarian? Take them to Mauer Animal Clinic! They are the best vets in Las Vegas!
Excellent with cat and dogs and the best staff you could ever meet. I drive from Henderson twice a week Dexter and Maurice and Oreo and Daisy who no longer with us they take of all there health needs.
Our family has been bringing our pets to Mauer Clinic for over 20 years. My mother’s three yorkies, the Hexie’s (one through three) were cared for by Dr. Doughty and Dr. Wesen. My husband & I have had them care for our golden retriever, Max, our wire haired terrier, Katie. And since Dr. Doughty has retired Dr Wesen and Dr Randall care for our mixed chihuahua, Bella Blue. I feel the Drs and their staff really care for dogs with kindness and love. Especially Wesen who has taken care of Bella as a puppy and now as a 10 year old with bouts of Pancreatitis. He has always been there to help us with our dogs and even with our daughter’s gerbil Speedo. I always feel confident with his knowledge and their staff, knowing that our pets (babies) are in the best hands!
