OUR VETERINARY SERVICES

WELLNESS EXAMINATIONS

Physical examination is performed to detect signs of illness before they become severe.  Some of the most common things your veterinarian looks for include underlying ear and eye disease, dental tarter and gingivitis, body weight, lymph enlargements, abdominal organ abnormalities, and skeletal diseases such as arthritis.

VETERINARY SURGERY

Mauer Animal Clinic is fully equipped to perform most surgical procedures. Prior to each procedure, every patient receives a thorough physical examination and, when necessary, we will perform laboratory blood testing to check on overall health and identify any anesthetic risks.  We also provide advanced endoscopic procedures to assist us in diagnosing your pet's health needs.

ULTRASOUND

We also offer Ultrasound as a non-invasive way to help us diagnose your pet's medical condition.  Ultrasound technology is painless and can help us to determine the most effective course of treatment for your pet.

PROTECT YOUR PET

Your pet depends on your protection in many ways.

The common things they need are shelter, food, water, exercise and love.  However, diseases spread by other animals are an ever-present threat to the health of your pet.  Vaccines are an important protection for your pets.

SENIOR PET HEALTH CARE

In the early stages, some of your senior pet’s problems may not be obvious and the gradual onset of health problems, in an apparently healthy pet, often goes unnoticed.  Diagnostic tests such as a complete blood panel, complete blood count, thyroid levels, urinalysis, thoracic and abdominal radiographs or ultrasound are important means to evaluate your pet’s health.
